The Borssele 1&2 project comprises 94 offshore wind turbines with a total capacity of 752 MW and is controlled and developed by Ørsted. The wind farm will be installed in the Dutch part of the North Sea about 23 km from the coast of Westkapelle in the Netherlands. The operation of the park is expected to start up by 2020 and will provide electricity to 1 million households.
Bladt Adds Additional Borssele 1&2 Contract to Order Book
An additional scope of 24 transition pieces enlarges Bladt’s fabrication and supply scope from 35 to 59 transition pieces for the Ørsted owned Borssele 1&2 offshore windfarm project.
Bladt will execute the contract for the additional 24 transition pieces at its fabrication yard in Aalborg in continuation of the original contract of 35 transition pieces, of which fabrication began in November this year.
