West of Duddon Sands

The West of Duddon Sands project has been well under way for almost a year now, and at the end of July, all 108 monopiles and transition pieces for the offshore wind farm were finished at our facilities in Aalborg, Denmark. Currently, out-loading of the last 13 foundations is in progress and will be finished during August.

Other foundation projects are also under construction at our facilities in both Aalborg, among them the construction of 35 foundations for DONG Energy’s Westermost Rough OWF and the 77 foundations for Borkum Riffgrund 1 OWF, also a DONG Energy project.

For the load out of the foundations for Westermost Rough, we are currently establishing a new load out area in Aalborg which will be ready for use in October.
