Floating foundations
More of these hybrid substructures are expected in the future.
Ready to cater for a growing demand
A floating offshore wind foundation is a concrete, steel or hybrid substructure on which a wind turbine generator is installed. The platform provides the wind turbine and tower buoyancy and stability.
Floating foundations are not yet widely used in the offshore wind industry, but more are expected in the future and there are currently several different potential designs and concepts in the market.
We can deliver any of these as needed by our customers.
Floating foundations will range in height and are expected to weigh approximately 2,000 – 4,000 tonnes.
